”Do you sharpen skates?

sharp

Yes! At $8/pair, we believe we are not only the cheapest, but the best in town. Sharpening skates since sometime in the 1940’s, we have a ton of experience and technical knowledge that has been passed down from previous generations.

”How does your trade in program work?"

Here is how it works in most cases: Say your child has outgrown his/her bicycle or skates. When you come in to purchase a more appropriate size, bring in the old one/ones, and we will give you a credit toward your purchase.

The exchange program is more or less limited to bicycles/trailers/scooters, etc, ice skates (figure and hockey), and hockey equipment.

A few basic exchange rules:
a) We prefer to do skates for skates, and bikes for bikes.
b) We prefer to do one for one – meaning we will accept one pair of skates for every one pair that goes out. The same rules apply to bikes.
c) We accept all of these items based on condition and demand for the item, meaning we reserve the right to refuse certain items.

”Do you buy gear and bikes?"

Generally speaking, yes, but it is really on a case by case-by-case basis. And we prefer to do it in season (i.e. bikes in summer, skates and hockey equipment in winter).

”Do you fix bikes?"

bike_services

Yes! We service just about all makes and models.  We like to say “If it can be fixed, we can fix it!

”Do you have parking?"

Well, we share parking with the Jane Dundas Library, The Macauley Child Care Centre. There is usually ample parking – up the driveway between our shop and the library.
